Like us and the movie Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Abram has an alter ego. We have observed Abram as a man of faith and fidelity who obeyed God in an extraordinary ways. As we will discover today, Abram is also a man of fear and falsehood. What happens when destiny meets self-inflicted difficulty? What always happens when we help God? We are encouraged today because God will fulfill His destiny for our lives not because of us, but in spite of us.
