As we transition to the Patriarchal Period of Genesis, Moses the author, focuses our story on Abram, whom we met at the end of Genesis 11. Today's text addresses God's call and covenant with Abram. Questions we want to consider are, Why did God choose Abram? What does God require of Abram? What obligations does God have in terms of the covenant? How is the Abrahamic blessing tied to Jesus' Great Commission? Let's introduce ourselves to the patriarch Abram and his story.
