Genesis HIStory - Genesis 17:1-14

Abram has waited, though not patiently, for twenty-four years to hear God's specific, detailed plans and purposes for his life. He has clearly grown weary in God's waiting room. Finally, God is ready to disclose the specific details Abram has been waiting for, but God has some very difficult conditions to impose on Abram. This is what we call the imperative before the indicative, though sometimes in the Bible it works in the reverse. What does it mean to live Coram Deo?
